Tending to Endings

Tending to Endings is a card deck for reimagining our relationship to endings.
We live in an era of escalating upheaval and crisis. To navigate these times we need to get better at ‘hospicing’ the system, behaviours and ideas that no longer work for us.
Drawing on the garden as a metaphor, this deck helps us see endings as part of life’s natural cycles. It offers imaginative yet grounded ways into difficult terrain, whether personal, collective, or systemic.

Our process took us from ideating amongst the compost and decaying leaf mould bays at city farms, role-playing in parks, finding clarity in cemeteries, to some silent reflection in a sauna...
