Seeds of Hope

Published December 2024

Seeds of Hope was an experimental project to explore how culture and creativity can build belief in better futures.

I was commissioned to create a zine celebrating the hopeful happenings taking place in Britain in Autumn 2024, from community festivals, exhibitions of radical hope, and celebrations of disabled joy, to rituals for the autumn equinox, and more.

The world is facing increasing crises but research has shown that fatalism is a primary blocker of civic engagement. Seeds of Hope shows how people and communities up and down the country are rolling up their sleeves to build better futures, stand up to injustice and take care of each other and nature.

Supported by the Joseph Roundtree Foundation. Zine printed by the Newspaper Club, with free copies given to event organisers.

Great to work with creative strategist Iris Andrews from the Emerging Futures team and Ruth Taylor.
